Studio Project – Praths
Studio Project - vehicle HMI Display Design
Overview
In developing this project, I crafted a display tailored specifically for high-end automobiles, a process which involved thorough research into the unique requirements of each feature. Through this exploration, I honed in on the essential aspects while eliminating superfluous features like Android or Apple CarPlay integration, ultimately solidifying my concept.

Task flow
Initially, I conducted research to grasp the fundamental requirements of HMI (Human-Machine Interface). Following this, I conducted in-person interviews with several car owners to gain insights into their issues with existing displays. Subsequently, I proceeded with site mapping and wireframing, and then moved on to selecting font styles and color palettes. Finally, I engaged in wireframing and designing with prototypes.
What is HMI?
The human-machine interface facilitates communication between the driver and the vehicle, enhancing the driving experience and enabling access to various features like navigation and climate control throughout the car. In contemporary car displays, large touchscreens are common, often incorporating voice commands similar to those seen in Tesla vehicles.
